Over 25 years' experience as a Marketing  and Communications Practitioner gives me access to a wide range of previous iterations of similar challenges and the curiosity and collaborative mindset to look at things in a new way.  Each of us is always learning.

Tenacious and committed , I combine a strategic perspective and creativity with the discipline and resilience needed to achieve successful outcomes through effective project management.

My style is facilitative and consultative and I have a track-record of organisation-wide impact in both commercial and Higher Education sectors.

Happy customers = Happy clients

Walking in the customer's shoes always provides powerful and actionable insight. I'll help you discover some simple, effective techniques for reminding yourself of this critical habit for any practising marketer.

Marketers are already well trained in the art of making promises. They spend a lot of time, energy and resource defining, developing and making brand promises.

If marketers want to seek ways to add more value to their organisation than they do already, they should seek to take more responsibility for ensuring their brand keeps its promises.

The first step is to know where you are, which involves understanding what your customers are saying about you. This is the outcome of what you do and how you do it, indeed of how your customers and potential customers experience your brand at every touchpoint. An ability to both listen to what customers are saying and take appropriate action is in my view a crucial marketing skillset.

Communications Consulting

It is often only by working out how you want to tell a story that you really know the story you want to tell.

Whether launching a new idea or managing a crisis, getting the messaging right is a critical success factor.

Its not rocket science but there is an art to it.

I'll help you work through what you want to say and how you want to say it.

Branding

Whilst the concept of branding is to be frank viewed with disdain and even distaste by some, it pervades all aspects of society and if done well, can help organisations, businesses, cities, regions, campaigns and even individuals achieve their aims and fulfil their core purposes, for good or ill.

A strong brand can:

  • Help customers differentiate between products or services which offer similar benefits
  • Convince customers that a particular product or service has greater value than its competitors
  • Lower the cost of entry for an organisation seeking to move into new markets or sectors
  • Help to attract and retain high quality staff
  • Encapsulate the enduring emotional connection between an organisation and both its customers and staff.

Fine in theory, harder to achieve in practice. I'll guide you through the tools, techniques, hints and tips which I have found most helpful over my career in working with brands.
